Nikon RF500 Reflex

This is a Nikon reflex 500mm lens.

The overall condition is good, and the focusing helix is smooth. There is no dust or peeling of the reflective coating inside the lens barrel, but it's difficult to photograph the mirror's condition (though I've tried). I've included sample photos taken with a mirrorless Z5 camera (photos 7, 8, 9, and 10). Please judge based on the photos and examples.

I believe the resolution is sufficient, as shown in photos 7 and 9. When there are objects that are out of focus behind the focal plane, as in photos 8 and 10, the characteristic ring bokeh of reflex lenses appears.

Filter work is done in the later stages. A protective filter LC37C Φ39mm is attached.

Reflex lenses are fixed at F8 and are dark, requiring a tripod. Many people have hesitated to buy them because of this. However, with the advent of mirrorless cameras with high sensitivity, focus assist, and in-body VR, they have become much easier to use. The examples were taken with a Z5, FTZ2 adapter, and a monopod. Before using the Z5, I tried it once with an F3 and was frustrated, and it had been in storage ever since.

Please try a reflex lens, which, in principle, has no chromatic aberration.
